VOICE-OVER SCRIPT:

A DOG WHOSE FRONT LEGS WERE ALLEGEDLY CUT OFF BY MEXICAN DRUG DEALERS IS ABLE TO PLAY AGAIN THANKS TO PROSTHETIC LEGS.

THE DOG -- WHOSE NAME IN ENGLISH IS "LEMON PIE" -- IS BEING CARED FOR IN A SHELTER FOR ABUSED AND ABANDONED DOGS.

THE POOCH WAS FOUND NEARLY A YEAR AGO IN A RUBBISH BIN WHERE HE WAS LEFT TO DIE AFTER HIS TWO FRONT LEGS WERE SURGICALLY REMOVED.

AND HE WAS FITTED WITH PROSTHETIC LEGS LAST YEAR.

THE SHELTER COULDN'T FIND THEM IN MEXICO, SO THEY TURNED THEIR SEARCH TO THE U.S.

LEMON PIE IS ONE OF NEARLY 130 ABUSED OR ABANDONED DOGS RECEIVING CARE AT THE FACILITY.

IT'S THE ONLY ONE OF IT'S KIND IN MEXICO.
