Kohl's Corp. rose $.55 or 1.3 percent, to $42.50.
Macy's Inc. rose $.56 or 1.5 percent, to $37.25.
Nordstrom rose $.84 or 1.6 percent, to $54.88.
J.C. Penney Co. rose $.35 or 1.9 percent, to $19.15.
Saks rose $.06 or .6 percent, to $10.53.
Sears Holdings Corp. rose $.53 or 1.3 percent, to $41.30.
TJX Companies rose $.06 or .1 percent, to $43.73.
