Aflac Inc. rose $.49 or .9 percent, to $52.99.
American International Group fell $.16 or .4 percent, to $35.61.
MBIA rose $.04 or .5 percent, to $8.23.
MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.08 or 2.7 percent, to $2.90.
MetLife rose $.41 or 1.1 percent, to $36.46.
XL Group PLC rose $.10 or .4 percent, to $26.54.
