Dengue outbreak spreads in Cairns

Queensland health authorities say a Dengue fever outbreak has spread to a third suburb of Cairns in far north Queensland.

A Parramatta Park resident has been diagnosed with Type 1 of the mosquito-borne virus.

Type 1 Dengue has also infected 13 people in Whitfield in the past fortnight.

Seven people in Mount Sheridan have been diagnosed with another strain since early last month.
