The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association says land owners affected by Gunns' collapse may have to wait another six months to be paid.

More than 300 farmers with plantation leases have not received rental payments since the timber company went into voluntary administration in September.

The TFGA says Gunns' administrator, PPB Advisory, is now proposing to extend the administration period until June to secure a new manager for the plantations.

A second information session will be held for affected farmers in Launceston next Wednesday.
