BOSTON (AP) — Members of a group promoting business travel in New England are meeting in Boston to discuss how they can work together as the collective voice of the industry and influence the federal government in Washington.

The New England Business Travel Association brings together corporate travel managers and travel services executives. At a meeting Thursday, they are focusing on government relations.

Members are expected to discuss how they can educate policy makers that business travel drives economic and job growth. They will also discuss how tax, funding and policy decisions made in Washington affect the industry and ways to support elected officials who support and understand the industry.

Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray will address the group. He's leading key administration initiatives, including expanding and improving commuter rail and freight service.
