Police are warning the public not to approach a man on the run in the central west of New South Wales who is said to be armed and dangerous.
Peter James Rowley ran from police into bushland off the Castlereagh Highway about 15 kilometres north of Coonamble on Thursday afternoon.
He is wanted to answer charges of serious domestic violence, and is believed to have access to at least two firearms.
A search is underway for the man, who is described as Caucasian, heavily tattooed, and with a solid build.
The 35-year-old had a mostly shaven head with a mullet-style haircut and a distinctive long red goatee beard when last seen by police.
Police say he was wearing a dark coloured shirt and may have a bandaged right arm.
