NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies were mixed at the close of trading:
Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.58 or 1.7 percent, to $33.51.
Gold Fields fell $.04 or .3 percent, to $12.00.
GoldCorp. rose $.93 or 2.6 percent, to $36.15.
Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.55 or 1.2 percent, to $45.56.
