NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top credit card companies were mixed at the close of trading:

American Express Co. rose $.34 or .6 percent, to $60.20.

Capital One Financial Corp. fell $.72 or 1.1 percent, to $62.16.

Discover Financial Services rose $.67 or 1.7 percent, to $40.09.

Mastercard fell $1.71 or .3 percent, to $517.82.

Visa Inc. rose $1.47 or .9 percent, to $159.36.
