NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies were down at the close of trading:
Arch Coal fell $.36 or 4.7 percent, to $7.24.
Consol Energy Inc. fell $.51 or 1.6 percent, to $31.27.
Peabody Energy fell $.54 or 2.0 percent, to $26.78.
