Guns, cash, drug gear seized in Sydney

Gang squad police have seized guns, cash and drug paraphernalia following raids on homes in Sydney's west.

At 6.30am (AEDT) on Wednesday, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Rooty Hill, seizing a sawn-off rifle, black powder pistol and ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a variety of tablets.

A 52-year-old Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang associate was charged with possessing a prohibited firearm, possessing an unregistered firearm, not keeping firearms safe and possessing ammunition.

He was refused bail to face Mount Druitt Local Court on Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man will be issued a court attendance notice for possessing a prescribed restricted substance.

Just after 8am, a second search warrant was executed at a home at Doonside, with police seizing cash, drug paraphernalia and cannabis.

The occupant, a 29-year-old Lone Wolf nominee, will be issued with a court attendance notice for possessing cannabis.
