A woman whose car became wedged between trees in a shopping centre car park was six times over the legal blood-alcohol limit when she crashed, police say.

Police say the incident happened about 8:00pm at Surrey Downs but the woman had driven off by the time they arrived.

The 52-year-old and her car were later found at a house at Wynn Vale where the woman returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.31.

She was reported for drink driving and driving without due care and has lost her licence for 12 months.
