A man has suffered serious injuries when he was thrown through the windscreen of his car after crashing it on the Mitchell Freeway.
Police say the man was driving south on the freeway when he hit a guard rail near the riverside drive turn off, early this morning.
He was thrown through the windscreen and down an embankment.
The man has been admitted to Royal Perth Hospital where his condition is listed as serious but stable.
