A GUNMAN WHO FIRED ON POLICE -- ALONG WITH THREE OTHERS --ARE DEAD IN AURORA, COLORADO -- WHERE A MASS SLAYING OCCURED AT A MOVIE THEATER JUST MONTHS AGO..

POLICE HAVEN'T RELEASED THE VICTIMS NAMES -- BUT A NEIGHBOR IDENTIFIED THE GUNMAN AS SONNY ARCHULETA. --AND SAID HE INHABITED THE TOWNHOME ALONG WITH HIS WIFE -- HER FATHER AND ANOTHER MAN.

IT WASN'T KNOWN IF OFFICERS SHOT THE SUSPECT OR HE SHOT HIMSELF.

A LARGE FRONT WINDOW WAS MISSING IN THE TWO STORY TOWNHOME -- AND BULLET HOLES MARKED TWO UPSTAIRS WINDOWS.

POLICE HAVEN'T RELEASED ANY MOTIVE IN THE SHOOTINGS.

INVESTIGATORS SAID TWO MEN AND A WOMAN APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN KILLED BEFORE OFFICERS ARRIVED.

THEY SAY A FIFTH PERSON ESCAPED THE HOME UNHARMED.
