NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A former Louisiana governor who served prison time for a corruption conviction is getting his own reality show on the A&E cable network.

In a Facebook message, the wife of 85-year-old Edwin Edwards tells The Associated Press that crews have already started filming "The Governor's Wife." The show will feature Edwards and his 34-year-old wife, Trina.

According to A&E, the series will follow Trina Edwards as she attempts to fit into the former governor's upscale world and busy social life. She also tries to get along with step-daughters almost twice her age and corral her teenage sons.

The series will include Edwin's daughters, Anna, a 62-year-old, four-time divorcee, and Victoria, who A&E describes as "a hardened, 60-year-old ex-showgirl."

Trina Edwards has two sons from a previous marriage, 15-year-old Logan and 13-year-old Trevor.
