A spokesman for the family of an Australian woman found dead in a Bali swimming pool says they do not suspect any foul play.

Denni North, 33, was found in the pool of a villa she shared with three other women on Sunday morning.

Her friends had her rushed to hospital but she was already dead by the time she arrived.

The ABC has been told she had worked late and had been drinking with friends until they left her alone about five hours earlier.

Bali police say there is no evidence of criminal activity, and Dr Dudut Rustyadi from Sanglah Hospital says Ms North probably drowned.

Ms North's brother, sister and cousin went to the police station in North Kuta which is investigating the death.

They did not speak to the media, but the manager of the Cocoon Beach Club where Ms North worked spoke on their behalf.

Anthony Bevilacqua said the family was devastated but they were treating it as an accident.

"Accident, full stop. Speculation of foul play and things like that is not on their minds," he said.

He said Ms North's body would be returned to Australia as soon as possible.

Yesterday, Ms North's aunt in Brisbane, Brenda North, Denni North was the victim of a heart attack or accidental drowning.

"Something is going on and we don't know what it is, there is just so much conflicting information coming out," she said.

"You don't know what to believe and it just doesn't seem right. I don't know - it's just that something is not right."

Foreign Minister Bob Carr has previously said the family has been offered consular support.
