Two Sydney men are set to be extradited to the United States for firearm and drug-related offences.
Police arrested the men, aged 31 and 44, this morning as part an investigation into an alleged illegal gun supply route between Nashville, Tennessee, and Sydney.
The investigation has been running since early last year and involves NSW Police, Customs, the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Police and Customs were present when a number of arrests were made in Nashville in October.
The agencies identified 20 firearms bought in Nashville that were believed to have been illegally sent to Sydney.
It is not clear when the men will be extradited.
Police say investigations are continuing.
