Queensland Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek says state schools could be partnered with Catholic and independent ones to build and share facilities.

Mr Langbroek maintains the State Government has not discussed selling-off state schools but is considering pooling resources with private enterprise.

He says the shared-approach is working in other states.

"In South Australia recently I saw an independent Catholic and state school all on one general area of land," he said.

"The schools were all separate but shared a number of facilities, so they had great theatrical and artistic facilities."
