Alice Springs police have charged six teenagers with several holiday crimes.

Officers on Wednesday charged a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly stole a car parked outside a nursing home in the town on December 18.

In a separate incident, two boys aged 14 and a 17-year-old were arrested after they allegedly broke into a Barrat Drive house and stole a number of items before taking off in a car parked in the driveway on December 20.

They've been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, aggravated unlawful entry and stealing.

A 14-year-old and 17-year-old have also been arrested for allegedly interfering with a vehicle in East Side on Tuesday.

Police said they found money stolen from the vehicle in the 17-year-old's pocket, and expected to lay charges on Wednesday.
