Amgen Inc. rose $1.05 or 1.2 percent, to $86.29.
Biogen Idec rose $.35 or .2 percent, to $146.40.
Celgene Corp. rose $.63 or .8 percent, to $78.36.
Gilead Sciences Inc. rose $.98 or 1.4 percent, to $73.36.
