NINE PEOPLE ARE DEAD AND ABOUT TWENTY OTHERS HAVE BEEN INJURED IN A TOUR BUS ACCIDENT ON ICY 1-84 IN NORTHEASTERN OREGON.

POLICE SAY THE TOUR BUS WAS CARRYING ABOUT 40 PEOPLE AND WENT OUT OF CONTROL.

"the bus went through a guard rail and then plunged 200 feet down a steep snowy embankment before coming to rest."

LOCAL OFFICIALS SAY THE BUS WAS OWNED BY MI JOO (ME-JOOH) TRAVEL IN VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA.

STATE POLICE POLICE SAY THE BUS WAS HEADING TO VANCOUVER FROM LAS VEGAS.
