Print PageA 23-year-old woman who was badly beaten at a town camp in Central Australia on Christmas Day has died from her injuries.
The woman had been taken to the Alice Springs Hospital with severe head injuries where she remained in a critical condition.
A 19-year-old man faced the Alice Springs Magistrates Court last week, charged over the attack, and has been remanded in custody.
Police say charges against the man may be upgraded to murder in the coming days.
