NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top telecom companies were mixed at the close of trading:
AT&T Inc. fell $.12 or .4 percent, to $33.66.
Sprint Nextel rose $.06 or 1.1 percent, to $5.62.
Verizon Communications Inc. rose $.03 or .1 percent, to $43.48.
