NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies were mixed at the close of trading:
Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.16 or .5 percent, to $34.26.
Gold Fields rose $.20 or 1.7 percent, to $12.18.
GoldCorp. fell $.06 or .2 percent, to $36.03.
Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.39 or .9 percent, to $45.47.
