VOICE-OVER SCRIPT:

A WINTER STORM FINISHES ITS WORK IN THE MIDWEST ... MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST ... WHERE THE FORECAST IS CALLING FOR HIGH WINDS AND HEAVY SNOW.

BLIZZARD WARNINGS ARE UP FOR INDIANA AND OHIO ... IN PLACES FARTHER SOUTH LIKE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA ... SNOW AND SLOW GOING.

SOT: Oh, right at a dozen wrecks. One was overturned, they had an ambulance there. Several people off in a ditch ...

IN MOBILE, ALABAMA ... CHRISTMAS DAY UNLEASHED TORNADOES ... LEAVING ALL THE USUAL CALLING CARDS BEHIND ... FROM DOWNED TREES TO SPLINTERED ROOFS.

SOT: There's a church down the street and unless the steeple was attached you couldn't tell it was a church. The houses across the street from us are completely destroyed and gone.

THE VAST STORM SYSTEM IS BLAMED FOR AT LEAST SIX DEATHS AND SEVERAL INJURIES ... BUT NO ONE WAS KILLED OUTRIGHT BY THE TORNADOES.

NOW THE MESS IS STRIKING THE EAST COAST ... PELTING WASHINGTON WITH RAIN AND SLEET ... SLOWING THINGS UP AT NEW YORK'S AIRPORTS.

SOT: It's delayed about 15 minutes just because of the weather conditions in Texas. I think it's icing there ...

ALREADY SCRUBBED BY MIDDAY ... SOME 900 FLIGHTS.
