BANGKOK (AP) — Singapore won the AFF Suzuki Cup for a record fourth time despite losing 1-0 to Thailand in the return leg of the final at the Supachalasai National Stadium on Saturday.

Singapore, which had prevailed 3-1 in the first leg at home, thwarted repeated attacks from Thailand to ensure that Singapore's Serbian coach Radajko Avramonic went out on a high after having already announced that this would be his last game with the team.

Thailand dominated the game from midway into the first half but Singapore held on to win 3-2 on aggregate.

Striker Kirati Keaswsombut headed in off a corner from Theerathon Bunmathan in the 45th minute but three-time champion Thailand could not add to the scoreline despite winning more than a dozen corners.
