A notorious WA paedophile has been sentenced to an extra four years in prison for sexually abusing two girls.

Mark Pendleton is already serving 23 years in prison for a number of offences, including a plot to abuse children in Thailand for which he was sentenced to more than six years earlier this year.

Today in the Perth District Court he received another four years on his sentence, for a number of sexual offences against two young girls in WA.

The first victim was just seven years old when the abuse began. It lasted 7 years.

The other victim was 13 years old.

The offences occurred between the 1970s and 1990s.

Pendleton will be eligible for parole in 2019 but he has been declared a dangerous sexual offender which means he will be detained indefinitely.
