An Australian Defence Force Academy cadet found guilty over the Skype sex case has been linked to another scandal.

Daniel McDonald, 21, filmed himself having sex with a female cadet and broadcast the images to Dylan Deblaquiere, 20, in 2011.

The woman had agreed to a casual sexual arrangement with McDonald, but did not know she was being filmed.

A jury found the pair guilty of sending offensive material over the internet without her consent in August. McDonald was also found guilty of committing an act of indecency on the woman.

In a sentencing hearing in the ACT Supreme Court today, an Australian Federal Police officer revealed McDonald is also expected to face punishment for running a group called the Love of My Life.

The group is alleged to have required ADFA members of a football team to perform sexual acts on each other as part of an initiation process.

In an unusual move, the woman read out her victim impact statement to the court, saying she has been bullied out of the military.

The woman said the events of that night destroyed her life and forced her to move from Defence base to Defence base as the rumours followed her.

She said she was scared to leave her room as people spat on her and male colleagues tormented her.

Both McDonald and Deblaquiere will be sentenced next week.
