Charges have been laid against another bikie over a violent brawl on the Gold Coast just over a week ago.

A 21-year-old Bandidos member is believed to be the youngest involved in the brawl that began at a Broadbeach tapas bar last Friday.

Officers from Taskforce Vanguard swarmed a motel on the Gold Coast last night and arrested the man from Kuraby.

He has been charged with riot and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Charges have now been laid against almost 30 men in relation to the fight outside the Aura tapas bar, which thrust simmering feuds between rival gangs into the spotlight.

Meanwhile, the State Government has appointed Deputy Commissioner Brett Pointing as a "criminal gangbuster" in the state's crackdown on bikies.

In addition to a new federal anti-gang squad, officers from the Australian Federal Police and Australian Crime Commission will be sent to the Gold Coast to assist the existing Queensland strike force.
