MEXICO CITY (AP) — Teachers partially blocked the main road to Mexico City's international airport in a fresh attempt to stop a national education reform that became law last month. But they have lifted the blockade and are marching instead to the secretary of the interior's office.

It's the third attempt to hinder airport access by the dissident teachers' union known as the National Education Workers' Coordinating Committee. The country's main union supports the reform, which would implement testing-based hiring and promotion.

The airport's management says it is operating normally Tuesday.

Members of the dissident union have camped out at the city's Monument to the Revolution since they were forced from the central Zocalo plaza on Sept. 13.
