Two people were killed and three injured when this crane partially collapsed on a construction site in Singapore.
Witnesses said concrete counterweights at the back of the crane fell off at it was lifting building material.
(SOUNDBITE)(English) N. RAJAH, SECURITY GUARD WORKING NEAR COLLAPSE SITE SAYING:
"What I see was, there was a very loud bang noise - like an aircraft had crashed down. And then, I saw the workers all started to run to the back of this building. I thought it is going to be more serious, so I ran together with them. They were screaming. Very fast, everything was under control. Police was here, Civil Defence was here."
Distraught workers were comforting each other in the wake of the accident.
It happened at the site of the former Supreme Court building which is being converted into the National Art Gallery.
Local media reports said there was another incident at the site in July when a crane tilted and part of it landed in the street.
