The search for survivors from an apartment building collapse in Mumbai is now over as the death toll climbs to 60.

Disaster response officials say after using special equipment rescue trapped victims, they are confident no one else is buried beneath the rubble.

The five storey apartment building collapsed early Friday morning trapping dozens beneath the rubble.

Police on Saturday say a man who had leased a portion of the basement of the building was arrested for performing construction on the building that may have led to it's collapse.

The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated.
