Police believe a woman's body found on the New South Wales Central Coast is that of Allyson McConnell, who was convicted of the manslaughter of her two young boys in Canada.
The body was found this morning on rocks underneath Brian McGowan Bridge on Brisbane Water Drive at West Gosford.
McConnell was deported to Australia in April after serving part of a six-year sentence at a Canadian psychiatric hospital and before an appeal against her sentence was heard.
The 34-year-old, originally from Gosford, had admitted drowning her two sons - 10-month-old Jayden and two-year-old Connor - in a bathtub in February 2010.
Jayden and Connor were found dead by their father.
when she killed the boys and she wanted to take revenge against her husband, with whom she was going through a divorce.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted but an initial assessment is that the death is not suspicious.
