New drama series Sleepy Hollow delivered Network Ten the head of the other stations by winning its timeslot on Tuesday.
Sleepy Hollow is a modern-day twist on Washington Irving's classic short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and reincarnates the characters Ichabod Crane and the headless horseman.
The US series is being fast-tracked in Australia. On Tuesday it drew 597,000 viewers to be the most watched program in the 9.30pm timeslot.
It was a small but vital win for Ten which is in a rebuilding phase and will launch its new breakfast and morning shows later this year.
Ten's highest ranking program on Tuesday was imported sci-fi series Under The Dome which was 11th overall on OzTAM's overnight ratings with 857,000 viewers.
However, the most watched program was Seven News (1.189 million), while Nine News (1.184 million) was second.
The Seven Network's new quiz show Million Dollar Minute, which launched on Monday with more than 800,000 viewers, again beat the Nine Network's Hot Seat in the 5.30pm time slot.
Million Dollar Minute drew an audience of 604,000 compared to Hot Seat's 576,000 watchers.
