HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Zimbabwe lost three wickets before lunch while extending its lead over Pakistan to 236 on day four of the second and final test at Harare Sports Club on Friday.

Captain Brendan Taylor made a dogged 23 not out and Zimbabwe was 172-7 after Vusi Sibanda, Malcolm Waller and Elton Chigumbura fell cheaply in the morning session. Seamer Rahat Ali had 3-41 for Pakistan.

Pakistan won the first test by 221 runs, leaving Zimbabwe battling to avoid a fifth series defeat in seven since it returned to the five-day format in 2011.

Zimbabwe also hasn't beaten anyone other than Bangladesh in a test match since 2001, but gave itself a chance of a rare victory in the last game by bowling Pakistan out for just 230 in its first innings.
