An American family, living in Perth on 457 visas, say they feel exploited by the State Government's decision to charge them school fees.
Greg Kearney and his vision-impaired wife Tammy, moved to Australia 4.5 years ago with their teenage son, to work for the Association for the Blind.
Under the Government's budget measure, skilled workers on 457 visas will be charged $4500 a year for each child they send to public school.
Mr Kearney says his family already pay taxes and they'll need to find a way of meeting the extra charge.
"It's going to be a sacrifice," he said.
"It's either going to be sacrifice to us directly or I'm going to have to go back to my employer and say look, I've got this expense that I'm doing to have to meet, and see how they respond to that."
The Government is expected to revise its decision on the issue within days.
