A hospitalised Wollongong man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his de facto partner to death earlier this year.
Police allege the 24-year-old stabbed the 25-year-old woman in the neck during a domestic dispute at a Farmborough Heights home on July 22.
Officers found the injured woman in the front yard.
She later died in Wollongong hospital.
The accused was also taken to hospital with suspected self-inflicted stab wounds to his neck and stomach.
He remains in hospital, where he was charged with murder on Tuesday.
He will appear at Wollongong Local Court on October 29.
