NEW YORK (AP) — U. S. stock futures are rising and the price of oil is falling for the second consecutive day with a U. S. attack on Syria no longer appearing imminent.

Dow Jones industrial futures are up 91 points to 15,127. S&P futures have added 11.2 points to 1,680.30. Nasdaq futures are up 22 points to 3,187.

The price of crude, which closed above $110 per barrel Friday, has been trading below $109 since Monday.

Syria said Tuesday that it has accepted Russia's proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control. The West has accused Syrian President Bashar Assad of using the weapons on civilians in the country's civil war.

Also on Tuesday, the U. S. reports on job openings and labor turnover for July.
