VOICE-OVER SCRIPT:

A MAN WHO'S ONLINE CONFESSION ABOUT DRUNK DRIVING HAS BEEN SEEN MORE THAN A MILLION TIMES IS DUE IN COURT ON TUESDAY.

MATTHEW CORDLE ADMITTED IN A VIDEO POSTED ON YOU TUBE THAT HE HIT AND KILLED A MAN WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE IN JUNE OF 2013.

CORDLE TURNED HIMSELF IN IN COLUMBUS, OHIO ON MONDAY.

CHARGES AGAINST HIM INCLUDE AGGRAVATED VEHICULAR ASSAULT AND OPERATING A VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.

CORDLE, IN HIS VIDEO, SAYS HE MADE A MISTAKE AND PROMISED TO PLEAD GUILTY.

HE SAID THE VIDEO WOULD ACT AS HIS CONFESSION.

PROSECUTORS SAY CORDLE COULD FACE MORE THAN EIGHT YEARS IN PRISON IF CONVICTED.

HIS ATTORNEYS HAVE SAID THEY HOPE HE WILL BE FREED ON BOND BEFORE HE IS SENTENCED, SO THAT HE CAN CONTINUE SPEAKING AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING.

THE INDICTMENT ALLEGES THAT ON THE NIGHT OF THE FATAL ACCIDENT, HIS BLOOD-ALCOHOL LEVEL WAS MORE THAN TWICE THE LEVEL AT WHICH OHIO AUTHORITIES CONSIDER A DRIVER TO BE IMPAIRED.

MATT SMALL, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.
