A MILITARY JURY GAVE MAJOR NIDAL HASAN THE ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT NEARLY FOUR YEARS AFTER HE WALKED INTO A FORT HOOD, TEXAS MEDICAL BUILDING AND OPENED FIRE WITH A LASER-SIGHTED HANDGUN.

HE KILLED 13 AND WOUNDED 31.

AT THE BEGINNING OF HIS TRIAL, HASAN SAID HE FELT THE U-S WAS AT WAR WITH HIS RELIGION-ISLAM.

HE CONCEDED THE EVIDENCE WOULD SHOW HE WAS THE SHOOTER.
