The Perth Magistrates Court has been told that a former youth counsellor accused of child sex offences will be making an application for release on bail.
Allan Keith Huggins, 66, was charged earlier this month with abusing six boys aged between 11 and 17, in 1990 and 1991.
At the time Mr Huggins was working at a school in East Victoria Park and at an adolescent clinic in Mount Lawley.
Mr Huggins was due to appear in court this morning, but a problem with the video link to Hakea Prison, meant the case was adjourned until next month.
One of the men alleged to have been abused by Mr Huggins says the alleged offences have had a huge impact on his life.
"I haven't been able to hold down a job for very long, haven't had a relationship in 10 years, and there's not really a day goes by that I don't think about it," he said.
