A man on Queensland's Gold Coast has been sentenced to four and a half years' jail for the indecent treatment of his two children.
The 49-year-old man - who can't be named for legal reasons - was arrested at his Molendinar home in February last year.
He was charged with 35 offences, including the indecent treatment of children under 16 and 12 and making, possessing and distributing child exploitation material.
In the District Court in Brisbane today the man shook his head as his crimes were detailed.
The crown prosecutor told the court the material seized from the man's home filled two car parking bays.
It included videos, photos and more than 1,200 handwritten child abuse stories he had penned.
The man pleaded guilty.
With time already spent in custody, he will be eligible for parole tomorrow.
