The Queensland Opposition has called on Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney to justify a travel bill of more than $200,000.

Premier Campbell Newman has tabled in parliament a report of ministerial expenses for the last financial year.

The greatest costs were salaries, which reached more than $22 million.

Administration expenses climbed to more than $11 million.

In parliament, Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk has questioned why Mr Seeney spent $207,000 on flights to and from his electorate in central Queensland.

"Four thousand dollars a week of taxpayers money," she said.

The Deputy Premier defended the spending.

"I don't live in Inala, I don't get a big white car to take me home for dinner every night," he said.

Mr Seeney says he has to fly to and from his home to properly represent his electorate.
