A female police officer has been treated for facial injuries after a violent assault on Hobart's eastern shore.

Police have laid charges against three people in relation to the incident on Thursday night.

Police allege home-made capsicum was used against the officer who was also punched and knocked unconscious.

They say the three officers were responding to a complaint about noise and anti-social behaviour at a house in Risdon Vale.

Police arrested a man who allegedly threw a beer at one of the officers before the situation escalated.

Police allege the female officer was put in a headlock, sprayed and then punched in the head until she lost consciousness.

She was treated in hospital and later discharged.

Police have charged a woman and a man, both aged 20, from Risdon Vale.

The man is also accused of resisting a police officer and criminal escape.

They will appear in court in September.

A 16-year-old girl will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
