NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are slipping in quiet trading on Wall Street.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 52 points, or 0.3 percent, at 15,605 points in midday trading Monday.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index was off three points, or 0.2 percent, at 1,707. The Nasdaq composite was down three points, or 0.1 percent, at 3,688.

Kraft Foods fell 1.2 percent to $56.70 after an analyst at Jeffries cut his rating on the stock, saying it had gotten too expensive. Kraft has risen 25 percent this year.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.65 percent from 2.60 percent late Friday.

European markets were mostly lower.
