VOICE-OVER SCRIPT:

TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS LOST POWER WHEN SEVERE WEATHER STRUCK NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND ON SUNDAY.

STORMS LASHED MAINE, NEW HAMPSHIRE AND VERMONT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUED A RARE TORNADO WARNING FOR PARTS OF THE REGION, AND IT SAYS A TORNADO MAY HAVE ACTUALLY TOUCHED DOWN IN MAINE.

THAT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED.

THE WEATHER SYSTEM ALSO BROUGHT WINDS REACHING 70 MILES AN HOUR, DROPPED INCH-THICK ONE-INCH THICK HAIL AND KNOCKED DOWN DOZENS OF TREES AND UTILITY POLES.

BY EARLY MONDAY, MORE THAN 19-THOUSAND HOMES AND BUSINESSES STILL DID NOT HAVE POWER.

THE STORMS CAME FROM THE SAME WEATHER SYSTEM THAT LEFT MORE THAN A DOZEN DEAD IN OKLAHOMA ON FRIDAY.
