1. SOUNDBITE (English) Aaron Eckhart/Actor, on his fitness routine:

"Well let's see, what have I don't this week? I am a passionate cyclist so I have ridden about 150 miles this week, I'm also- I do my own work-out. I do a military style work-out at my house where I jump up into trees, I go down and do burpees. I roll over, do a real, because I have worked with so many Parkour people over the course of my movie making career and really good professional athletes that I have developed my own little work-out where everything is getting up, getting down, rolling over, doing push-ups and I do it for a concentrated amount of time. So you get your entire body in shape. It's quite great."

2. SOUNDITE (English) Aaron Eckhart/Actor, on his fitness technique:

(Reporter: Sounds like CrossFit.)

"Yeah it is, it's CrossFit, Parkour and it's just basically looking around your environment. I don't know why I am telling this to the 'AP' but there's no excuse. We could have a work-out where we got our heart rates going at 160 beats per minute for an hour on this little two foot area right here. You don't need weights or anything. You can be in incredible shape."

3. SOUNDITE (English) Aaron Eckhart/Actor, on his work outs while traveling and his fitness:

"I work-out often in hotel rooms with all the furniture, lifting furniture, lifting couches, all that sort of stuff. You don't need- it's amazing what you can do."

(Reporter: What's your diet like?)

"It's good. I eat pizzas and hamburgers and a lot of milkshakes."

AARON ECKHART, FIT AT 45

American actor Aaron Eckhart may be 45 years-old, but he is in better shape than many 20 something year-old men.

But you won't catch him obsessing normal gym-type exercises. Bench press, dumbbells, treadmills or elliptical machines aren't tools Eckhart uses for regular exercise. He would much rather climb up his tree in his backyard and shuffle furniture around for strength.

So what does a typical week of fitness for Eckhart consist of?

"Well let's see, what have I don't this week? I am a passionate cyclist so I have ridden about 150 miles this week," said Eckhart. "... I do my own work-out.

While female actresses pick up great make-up or styling tips from the best in the business, actors such as Eckhart take note on new work-out ideas and regimens. Parkour is a holistic training program which was developed out of military obstacle course training. CrossFit is a strength and conditioning brand which combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics.

"Yeah it is, it's CrossFit, Parkour and it's just basically looking around your environment," said Eckhart. "I don't know why I am telling this to the 'AP' but there's no excuse. We could have a work-out where we got our heart rates going at 160 beats per minute for an hour on this little two foot area right here. You don't need weights or anything. You can be in incredible shape."

"I don't have time to work-out," "I travel too much for work," "I don't have access to a gym are all excuses Aaron Eckhart hears too often.

"I work-out often in hotel rooms with all the furniture, lifting furniture, lifting couches, all that sort of stuff," said Eckhart. "... It's amazing what you can do."

Now when it comes to diet, Eckhart doesn't hold back on treating himself to a little junk food.

"It's good. I eat pizzas and hamburgers and a lot of milkshakes," grinned Eckhart.

Aaron Eckhart stars in the new action thriller "Erased," opening in U. S. theatres May 17th.
