Strong demand to visit the Turner from the Tate exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia has the gallery keen to mount more international showings.
The Gallery said it was on track to reach a target of 75,000 visitors to its exhibition of works by British artist JMW Turner.
Turner from the Tate has been the most expensive exhibition staged at the SA gallery and features about 100 works from the Tate Gallery in London.
SA gallery director Nick Mitzevich said more big exhibitions were in the planning.
"What we hope to be is a series of international exhibitions every year and the local community and the interstate community have demonstrated to us that there is a great demand," he said.
"We're really excited about 2014."
