Badminton will introduce instant video review at the Indonesian Open in Jakarta in June.

The Badminton World Federation says on Wednesday it is still finalizing the rules and technology, but it wants "complete fairness" for line calls.

BWF deputy president Paisan Rangsikitpho says, "We want to further enhance the integrity of match play and the decisions which are made."

After tests during the Sudirman Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next month, video review will be unveiled officially at the Indonesian Open from June 11-16.

It will gradually appear at other Superseries events and throughout badminton.

BWF athletes' commission chair Emma Mason hails the move as "an important development for our players and for badminton as a whole."
