MONACO (AP) — Top-ranked Novak Djokovic is set to play in the Monte Carlo Masters after making a swift recovery from the twisted ankle he sustained on Davis Cup duty.

The Serb injured his right ankle on April 7 during the quarterfinal win against the United States and had been uncertain for the Monte Carlo event.

Djokovic, who had a first-round bye, has been training with his coach since Friday and was included in Wednesday's schedule of second-round matches. He will face Russia's Mikhail Youzhny.

Djokovic lost to eight-time champion Rafael Nadal in straight sets in last year's final. He is in the same half of the draw as fourth-seeded Tomas Berdych and No. 5 Juan Martin del Potro.
